Francisco Neto is the owner of Quinta do Loureiro and your charming holiday host, who will make sure that you have a wonderful holiday in the Douro Valley. He lives close to the farmhouse, and is available to answer any questions about the house and the surrounding area. He can give you advice on things to see and do, where to eat, how to get to the nearest supermarket, as well as organising a wide range of local excursions for you.

The beautiful property has been in his family for generations; at one time they owned the boats that would navigate the River Douro to take the wine along to the Port Wine Houses in Porto.  There are many interesting pictures and artifacts that adorn the walls of the house and really give the visitor an appreciation of its history. Most of the rooms are furnished with wonderful antique furniture, which adds to the amazing charm and ambiance of the property. Add to the the beautiful grounds where you can wander at your leisure, soaking up the scents of citrus and eucalyptus, before having a refreshing dip in the pool, or simply sitting and enjoying the fabulous view, accompanied by a glass of local wine, of course!
